N-PACE magazine, in existence since March 2003, is the premiere publication of the Community and Environmental Services Department (CES). The acronym N-PACE is comprised of the first letters of each of the five divisions of CES: Neighborhood Services, Parks & Recreation, Animal Services, Code Enforcement, and Environmental Protection. The purpose of N-PACE is to promote CES' resources, creating awareness of the many services and programs available to Orange County residents and neighborhoods. This goal is accomplished through articles written by CES' employees. The Orange County Neighborhood Services Division produces and distributes N-PACE twice annually, in the spring and in the fall.
Pick up a copy on N-PACE when you visit any of the locations where N-PACE is available (see locations below).
N-PACE is mailed to neighborhood and non-profit organizations listed in the Orange County Neighborhood Organization Directory. The magazine is also distributed at neighborhood organization meetings and County events attended by CES staff. Additionally, N-PACE is distributed to other Orange County Departments and Divisions, Community Centers, Neighborhood Centers for Families, and to Orange County Library branches. Two on-going columns in the N-PACE are the Keeping N-PACE Neighborhood Spotlight and Ask a Mentor: To submit an article about a project your neighborhood organization proudly planned and successfully implemented, please e-mail us at N-PACE Neighborhood Spotlight a short article outlining your accomplishments and a photo showing your volunteers at work, or a photo of your neighborhood association officers. Your article may be featured in a future issue of N-PACE.
