Orange County Facilities Management is responsible for the maintenance and security of more than 500 buildings. We maintain courthouses, jails, fire stations, juvenile centers, community centers, animal shelters, along with office buildings and warehouses. Facilities Management's 177 employees provide air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electronics services. Specialty and support staffs include a warehouse (shops' stores), specialized door mechanics, a security section for both hard key locks and electronic card access, a grounds section that maintains irrigation and site lighting, and the mail processing facility. Janitorial, security guard, and landscape services are provided through contracts that are managed by Facilities Management personnel. Approximately 60% of all of our work (in dollar value) is accomplished through contracted services we manage while the remainder is accomplished by our own maintenance staff. |
